SALES of prize bonds the non risk, tax free state run savings scheme grew by nearly 8% to a record 398 million last year, but 1.66m worth of prizes remain unclaimed. The value of the prize bond fund stood at 1.3 billion at the end of 2010, which is the highest in the scheme's history and just under 24% higher than the end of 2009. The value of cash prizes awarded to prize bond holders also reached a record high last year; the 36m total up by 29% on the previous year. As of the end of last year, the unclaimed prize fund built up over the half century history of the scheme amounted to 1.66m, less than 0.3% of the value of prizes awarded since the launch of the scheme in 1957. The top unclaimed prize is for 20,000, while over 75% of unclaimed prizes have a value of 250 or less. All cash prizes are tax free and can be cashed in by winners any time after the minimum three month holding period. "Gross sales, the fund value as well as the number and value of prizes during the year, were all at the highest levels since the scheme began 53 years ago," said chairman John Daly. Mr Daly added: "The main reason for unclaimed prizes is where customers have changed their address without notifying us. No matter how long ago the prize was won, winners are still able to claim their prize." The Prize Bond Company is run as a joint venture between An Post and Fexco, with the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) managing the scheme. These units usually cost about $20, so you may need to save up your money, ask your parents for help or offer to do some household work to earn the money. These units take up a little space, but can hold many items. Fill the units on top of your dresser or vanity with personal grooming and hair supplies. Fill the units on your desk with pens, pencils, markers, staplers, hole punches and paper. Ask your parents to help you buy and set up an easy to assemble bookcase. Fill its shelves with books, magazines and binders. You can use the top of the bookcase to display figurines, stuffed animals and other small, lightweight items. These bookshelves usually cost around $20, but can cost more depending on how large they are and what they're made of. If you can't afford to buy one, or you aren't allowed, you can make room for books on the furniture you already have. Clear off the top of your desk or dresser and make sure the piece of furniture's back is against a wall. Line up your books, magazines and DVDs across the back of your desk or dresser. Make sure the books or movies are pressed up against the wall and are close together. Place heavy items on each side of the line of books and movies to keep them upright. Clean up messy floors by stowing rarely used items in flat storage bins that you can slide or roll under the bed and out of sight. Put out of season clothes, toys and arts and crafts supplies in these bins so you can access them when you need to. If your bed is too low to the floor to fit anything underneath, you can find bed raisers at furniture/home stores. Have an adult help you lift your bed and place the bed frame's legs on top of the raisers. These will give you plenty of under bed storage space, and they can often be purchased for under $20. If you'd rather not buy them, ask your parents if they have any large, flat boxes you can use. Air Jordan 13 Grey Toe 2014,Pippa Middleton is enjoying a nice little break in Paris as the world watches Prince Harry nude photo scandal unravel. Pippa is used to being the one in trouble with the royal family and is probably enjoying a slight reprieve from all the scrutiny. The younger sister to Kate Middleton is in Paris with some friends and seems to be enjoying her time away. She was spotted with a handsome young man riding bikes through the streets of Paris last Friday. Pippa took a page out of Justin Bieber style guide and matched her bright blue jacket with her shoes. She wore a flirty pale shirt and black pants for her little trip around the city of love. The duo was later spotted enjoying a little refreshment at an outdoor caf. Pippa once again pulled a Bieber and matched her beige jacket to her shoes. They seemed very relaxed with one another as they chatted away. Despite the romantic nature of the French city, when Pippa guy friend was asked about the status of his relationship with party planner, he stated, a friend. Apparently, the two have been friends for a while and have spent time together in the past creating speculation there could be a budding romance. It seems Pippa Middleton has a lot of guy friends and very few female pals.
How To Order Air Jordan 13 Grey Toe 2014,Air Jordan 3 Infrared 23 Just because a movie is animated, it doesn't mean it's suitable for children. And apparently, just because a movie is marketed toward children, made by a studio associated with children and specifically designed with children in mind, it also might not mean it's for children. As the third Walt Disney film ever, Fantasia came out only two years after Snow White and right after Pinocchio. People were expecting Fantasia to be just as kid friendly as those two, and for the most part, it was: It included waltzing flowers, Mickey Mouse getting in a crazy mix up and a hippopotamus dancing ballet with an alligator. This caused a lot of misconceptions about how mating works in the animal kingdom.Everything seemed relatively normal for a children's film until the introduction to the last segment, in which we're told, "Bald Mountain, according to tradition, is the gathering place of Satan and his followers. ". Wait, what's that? Satan? Surely they don't mean that Satan. "Here . the creatures of evil gather to worship their master."That's right, Walt Disney's masterpiece transitioned from dancing animals to the devil summoning evil spirits and bringing hell to Earth and the only thing to prepare us was some guy saying, "We're going to start talking about Satan now, kids."Donald, Mickey, Goofy . Lucifer? Yeah, we can see that.In this lone sequence, you've got eerily animated ghosts wisping out of haunted graveyards .A wholesome way to find out about boobies. The segment ends when daylight comes and all the demons and stuff crawl back into hell, the implication being that this happens every night while you sleep or try to, if you're a kid and you've just seen this cartoon. Walt Disney himself once admitted that Fantasia was a bad idea, though we think there might have been another reason for that.8. Judge Doom's True Identity in Who Framed Roger RabbitTruth be told, it is damn near impossible to find things not to like about this movie: Doc Brown plays the villain, Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny share a scene and just about every second shown in Toontown is loaded with cameos. Plus there's this:Unfortunately, most of us were too young to fully appreciate Jessica Rabbit when we first saw this film but not too young to cry when Judge Doom .The "Bambi's mother" of its generation. But even that pales in comparison to Doom's epic freak out in the end, which starts off with the man getting very slowly .And screaming in terror all the way, of course.only for his freakishly flattened body to get up and start walking around like the Slender Man.And just when you think it couldn't possibly get more traumatizing, his eyeballs fall out and Judge Doom reveals his true identity in this memorable moment:You'd think that when Robert Zemeckis or Steven Spielberg said, "And then knives come out of his eyes," someone would have stopped and said, "Is . is everything OK with you, pal?" Perhaps that could have spared us what comes next: Doom's hand turns into a buzz saw and he tries to kill the terrified Bob Hoskins, while his eyes continue to get creepier by the second. This would have been much funnier in Back to the Future. Then Hoskins manages to produce a pond of the same stuff that killed the shoe before, and Doom melts to death while . It's a pretty terrifying moment, too, but at this point you're just relieved that the bastard is finally dead and that they can't use him to scare the shit out of you anymore.Except when they show you his corpse a few minutes later, that is.7. The Great Owl in The Secret of NIMHBefore An American Tail and The Land Before Time, Don Bluth's first attempt to beat Disney at its own game was The Secret of NIMH, a classic G rated movie about friendship and magic and talking animals .and stabbing and death and monstrous beasts with glowing eyes. You see, The Secret of NIMH employed a technique called backlighting, which created a surreal glow in some parts of the film. Unfortunately, Bluth decided the best use for this revolutionary technique was scaring the crap out of us.It's hard to comfort your children when you're going "OH NOOOO" yourself. The foremost example of this was the film's classic character the Great Owl, whose introduction to the audience includes crushing a spider, standing on a pile of bones and freakishly twisting his head around like something out of Hellraiser. And this is all done after it is made explicitly clear that he feeds on animals like, for example, the main character of the film. At this point making his eyes glow just seems like overdoing it. Air Jordan 13 Grey Toe 2014 Some sports such as tennis or swimming seem to need training from a young age in order to reach world class status. This is not the case with endurance sports such as running. There is no evidence to suggest that there are physiological benefits to training as children that cannot be obtained by training after the age of 18. Indeed, the opposite is true: children who do well at school often don't go on to perform competitively as adults. How to avoid doing too much exercise Young people themselves are usually good judges of how much running they should be doing. Generally, for people under 18, the best advice is to do what you enjoy and not to train too intensely. Parents who are themselves keen runners, or who have ambitions for their children, should be careful not to push them too far and too fast. Create the opportunities for your child, but don't put too much pressure on them. 10 km) should be put on hold until they are 16. Running injuries occur in young runners as they do for all runners, especially when training levels are increased too fast. Like all runners, young runners shouldn't increase their mileage too rapidly. This can be a particular problem for runners who train mainly at school or at college, if they resume training after a long summer holiday during which they have not run much. The requirements of young runners For young people who run occasionally, there is no need to buy specialist running shoes, but if they run more than 10 miles a week, then you should buy specialist running shoes from a specialist running store. There are no specific dietary considerations for children who run: they need basically the same diet as any other child. While they should certainly not be eating a diet of high fat, highly processed food, they should not be prevented from eating foods that are appropriate to growing bodies, including more calories and lots of protein and calcium. Because these often come from foods that are relatively high in fat, an appropriate diet for a young person may well have more calories and more fats than a health conscious adult would eat. Children are at greater risk of overheating than adults, because their ratio of body mass to surface area is lower, they sweat less and they produce more heat. So it is important to make sure that young runners drink enough to keep their body temperatures low. Ten Guidelines For Parents of Children in Sports 1 Make sure your children know that win or lose you love them and are not disappointed with their performance. 2 Be realistic about your child's physical ability. 3 Help your child set realistic goals. 4 Emphasize improved performance, not winning. Positively reinforce improved skills. 5 Don't relive your own athletic past through your child. 6 Provide a safe environment for training and competition. 7 Control your own emotions at games and events. Don't yell at other players, coaches, or officials. 8 Be a cheerleader for your child and the other children on the team. 9 Respect your child's coaches. Communicate openly with them. If you disagree with their approach, discuss it with them. 10 Be a positive role model. Enjoy sports yourself. Set your own goals. Live a healthy lifestyle. You never know every time a situation will force you to communicate and negotiate using a person or as lot of people who speak in the language that may be complete . D. Grant is truly an exp .
