First, I want to show you what a V neck sweater looks like. This is a universally flattering neckline for most people. For men, it's usually a shorter wider V and they can put a collared shirt underneath or just a t shirt. For women, we can go a deeper V or shorter V. If it's a plunging V, you may want a camisole underneath. This is a scoop neck sweater dress. This is a beautiful royal blue dress by the way. But, a scoop neck can be a deep scoop, a wide scoop, a narrower scoop, a modified scoop. This scoop necks in particular are great when you have narrower shoulders because they make your shoulders appear broader. These are other examples of scoops. Here is a modified scoop neck, almost like a crew, much higher up and here is very cute scoop neck and a deeper scoop, you can even wear a camisole underneath this. This is a turtleneck neckline which is a classic style. It's been around for years, it comes and goes. It's great in the cooler weather. This turtleneck comes all the way up, can be up very very high and a mock turtleneck would be down a little bit lower. A turtleneck style works great with a thinner neck; if your neck is a little bit thicker, it might be harder to wear. It might not be flattering on you. And the other thing is if your bust line is really large, this is not the best style to wear because the proportion of going from a thinner neck to a larger bust accentuates your bust. This is a crewneck men's sweater. A crewneck means that the neckline is round at the base of the neck. It's a traditional style. Men will often wear it with a shirt collar coming out from underneath it or just with a t shirt underneath it. This is a cowl neckline. It's sort of like having a scarf wrapped around your neck. It can get slouchy; when you put it on you may want to fluff it up. This actually can sometimes camouflage a larger bust line if it drapes down a lot or it can camouflage to a smaller bust line, it goes both ways. And there you have sweater necklines.
